The premise of this one-act play is that of a reality-based talent show, much like American Idol.
Twice Upon A While
This one-act play is the first ‘sequel’ of Once Upon a While.
A Staged Reading
The play to be read is Macabre Park – a new murder mystery by first time playwright, Trenton Ellis.
After teaching Theatre Arts for so many years, I had run out of large cast ensemble plays to offer my highschool students. We would always have to recycle. Even with this, so many of these plays did not provide opportunities for all to have a larger role.

I created these plays to fix this inequity – for students especially – that each might garner some spotlight and enjoy the fruits of all their hard work and dedication. I also had, in every class, at every grade level, wonderfully talented singers. I built Once and Twice Upon a While so they might be able to showcase their skills in a fun and entertaining production that was very simple and inexpensive to stage.
